I’m very surprised by the range of careers history majors attain. Thinking close minded before this class, I thought that maybe all there is to do in a historical career field is a history teacher or museum guide. I’ve now learned that history majors can contribute to a range of careers and incorporate their knowledge to help form strong work teams and ideas. I’m currently majoring in psychology and one of my career goals is to work in an environment that I throughly enjoy, which would include working with a strong level headed team that shares contribution between individuals. One of the historical thinking skills that will help achieve this path is the ability to gather many sources and share multiple perspectives about it.
