2. The secretary of the War Department is concerned on the removal of the 24th Infantary. It doesn’t seem like action is being taken to investigation.

3. The limitations I faced with this document is the understanding of the issue surrounding the investigation. To address the gaps in the record, I might look into more of the documents written or consult into other sources about this issue the War Department is facing.

4. This exercise helped to get a primary perspective on the issue the War Department is facing with the 24th Infantry and officials. From my perspective, it seems like this is an important issue that they want addressed and the governor won’t give it the time of day. I know I need to look at other sources to gain more information on this; however, the perspectives from reading the letters are great primary sources.
